Last Chance!

Good grief, how time flies.  How did I get to be a second semester senior??  Somehow when I wasn't looking, I kind of grew up, I guess.  Anyway, while I hope and pray that I'm able to put off entry into the real world for a while by going to grad school, I realize that never again will I have the total freedom of being a young twenty-something college kid.  I'm planning on making the most of these next three months.  For example:  no stress.  Errrr, as little as possible.  I'm taking half the number of classes I took last semester, and 2 of the 3 seem easy enough.  The third (thesis) is going to be killer, but I suppose that's why I pay 45K to come here.  I've left behind ballrooming with no hard feelings, but that means I get to devote more time to tap, which I honestly enjoy much more.  With the rest of my time?  Fun!!  Friends!! And unfortunately, freezing temperatures until April.  Oh well.  Life isn't always perfect.

In the meantime, I'm setting some goals for my last semester.  Here goes:

- Tour all the libraries on campus; see the tin soldier exhibit and the book bound in human skin.

- See the PawSox play!!! (the cute minor league cousins of the Boston Red Sox)

- Travel to Block Island, and play frisbee on the beaches at Newport.

- Go play with the Brown faculty's canine friends that visit the main green on Heavy Petting days.

- Eat clam chowder.  Would you believe I've never had any??

- Party the night away at Fish Co, the sketchy local bar that plays crazy 80s music and is frequented mostly by freshmen.  It would be... ironic... to go as a senior for the first time.

- Improve my pool skills at the Grad Center Bar.  This one should be easy, given that I've basically got no skills to start with.

- Eat tasty desserts at Pastiche, a popular dessert restaurant on Federal Hill.

There you have it; the beginnings of a Super Fun To Do List.  Ready, set, GO.

Yay for irony! (And PawSox, tin soldiers, Block Island (and ferries in general), frisbee, heavy petting, poorly-played pool (with grasshoppers!), and Pastiche!)
