Wow, all of a sudden I looked around myself and thought, I look like a teacher! I have two pages of photo rosters spread on the coffee table in front of me to learn names. I have a binder with last year's syllabus open next to me on the couch. Notes from last year are scribbled on an index card, and notes from this year are scribbled in a small notebook. My textbook - highlighted, underlined, and annotated - and a pen are buried somewhere under the papers. I have three documents and a deck of PowerPoint slides open on my computer as I finalize discussion questions.
Now we'll just have to see if the students think I look like a teacher, too!
