I just had a conversation with one of the core-course professors at SNRE who happens to be a Brown grad (long before me). Moreover, I've discovered over the past year-and-a-half that one of my two master's project advisors is a Brown grad, as is one of the core-course professors I'll be working for next semester. And one of the top prospectives for a new SNRE faculty position (she gave a seminar today) is also a Brown grad! They're everywhere!
So, if this new woman is hired, Brown alumni will officially make up 10% of SNRE faculty.
As if that weren't enough, there are also at least four Brown grads currently getting degrees from SNRE.
Go Brown!
