Written by me and Dana, to the tune of "I'm a Believer" (you know, the song from Shrek that starts, "I thought love was only true in fairy tales..."):
I thought lions really lived in Africa.
Well, guess what, we've yet to see one here.
Every time we're lookin'
We think we see a lot.
We think we see a lion, but it's not.
And then we look again! (doo doo doo doo)
And we all turn around. (doo doo doo doo)
This time it's gotta be real, (doo doo doo doo)
But it's a termite mound.
Oh where are you?? (ooooooh)
Lion, please find me, I want to see you, yes, I do!
Yeah, so there you have it. No lions. I've seen cheetahs, rhinos, buffalo, elephants and zebras times five million, warthogs, gemsbok, springbok, steenbok, wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, kudu, impala times three million, babboons, meerkats, mongeese, flamingoes, tons and tons of birds of all sorts, and probably a bunch of other things I'm forgetting now. But alas, no lions! Guess I'll have to come back to Africa some day...
